The HOLE reduces the crucial tip weight by 5 grams. You laugh but the difference can be felt. Less energy is needed every time you return the ski after the push off. A little adds up to a lot in the course of a 50K and makes skiing a little more efficient regardless of distance. ADVANTAGES OF THE HOLE: *Requires less effort *less energy loss *Smoother flow *More exact skate strides *Higher stride frequency *Faster Speeds.
To guarantee the fastest ski possible, Carbonlites get a factory wax immediately after the best diamond tuned grind and race finish in the business. This wax protects the bases from oxidizing from the time they are made to the time of your purchase. The latest generation Computer Flex Control examines each ski individually for pre-tension, residual tension, camber pressure, height and length. The resulting ski-pairing process ensures the highest level of matching. No one does it better than Fischer! Compared the the RCS Skating that you know and love, the Carbonlite has a longer open pocket at half body weight. This increases stability in firmer conditions and puts more spring into each push off. Fisccher has teamed up with Rottefella and offers many of their skis including the Carbonlite with the revolutionary factory bonded NIS biding plate. The Xcelerator NNN bindings slide onto this plate creating a more solid interface between binding and ski (more power transfer and control). The binding can be adjusted in one of now seven positions, personalizing the ski's behavior. This is great for those of you that have NNN boots. If not it may be time to switch. The Carbonlites also come in the traditional flat deck. Either way you get a ski with the highest technological advancements that will translate into more speed and control. The Carbonlites are offered in either a Plus Base or a Cold Base. The Plus base is considered the most universal.
