The X-Tour Escape CL is a full-length WAXABLE touring ski. First let me tell you why we still sell waxable touring skis and maybe why you should have one. Here in the midwest waxing for grip is easy and a no brainer 80% of the time (use your waxless skis during the 20% difficult grip waxing conditions). A ski properly waxed with grip wax will give you noticeably better grip and better glide. It takes no more than 2 minutes to grip wax a ski.
Why you should buy this ski. It is a bargain. The Escape CL is one versatile ski. The dimensions of this ski make it a performance in track ski that begs to be taken out the back door. It will do what a mid-length ski will do but with superior glide. It's full-length gives it extra stability and flotation and better glide.
Features: An Active Cap with an offset edge increases the ski stability and durability. An air-channeled wood core helps keep the ski light as well as bombproof. A quality sintered base holds a wax and is fast.
We measure the flex of each ski to ensure a proper fit - not too stiff, not too soft. The Recommended Skier Weight comes from our measurement of the ski's flex.
