Touring & Backcountry Boots

Alpina has been at the forefront in making boots for the back country / rugged touring. The 1550 has stood the test of time and offers the legendary somewhat generous Alpina fit. The 1550 with Thinsulate insulation will keep your feet toasty warm. A plastic cuff with a power strap adds ankle support which is much appreciated when the conditions are icy or the terrain gets hilly. A plastic heel counter and toe box protection adds support and durability. Other nice features include speed lacing and an anatomical footbed. This boot has the NNN BC Sole with a medium flex. The 1550 could be used on light touring skis to add control but is best suited for metal edge skis intended for point to point excursions. An overlapping second tongue with external lacing give this boot a very traditional look.
