The 8100 is Yoko's flagship pole. Like all top end poles it is extremely light and stiff. These poles are made in Finland and are 7mm at the basket which gives this pole an incredible swing weight. The shaft is a 100% high modulus carbon. The hand-cradling strap has a nice and simple disconnect from the Cork grip. If you remember Yoko/Toko disconnect straps is one and the same. Lots of people loved this strap. The grip is Cork and traditional in shape - no ledges or gimmicks. What sets this pole apart from other brands of top end poles is PRICE! I think this should be the pole for the Nordic skier that has a hard time parting with their money.
