I think of this rugged touring ski as a great point to point ski that can be used for light telemark turns as well. Buy this ski if you like going where other skiers have not. The Waxless BC 90 Positrack has full metal edges like all of Rossignol BC Skis. The BC 90 is wide enough to give great flotation yet unlike the real fat skis it is light enough for easy kick and glide. With a big 28mm of sidecut from tip to waist this ski will initiate turns easily - think light telemark skiing. Gnarly conditions won't hold this ski back. A positive waxless gripping base offers excellent grip with a quiet silky-smooth glide. At slower speeds you will think you are on a waxable ski. The air-channeled wood core is light and durable. You won't have to worry about breaking a ski in unforgiving terrain. There are no hard to wax for days with this ski. Buy this ski according to your weight not height. That said it doesn't hurt to go to the next shorter size if you want a shorter ski. You will still get good float and turning will be even easier.
