New Graphics for '10-11'. It is my opinion that this is as great as a classic race ski gets. Great grip, glide, base grind and the Rossi light and lively feel. The NIS C1, with the lowest camber, is designed for soft snow conditions. If the camber flex is the same for a C1 and C2, the C1 is the easiest to establish good grip. The NIS C2, with a medium height camber, is for hardpack conditions and will also work better in klister conditions. The proper ski flex and good technique are still the most significant factors for good grip and glide.
The NIS Xiums have a binding plate that is bonded to the ski at the factory. The NNN R4 binding slides right onto this plate (no drill holes or screws), giving a more solid link between ski and binding. The result is noticeably more control, stability, and power transfer. It also gives you five positions to place the binding, so you can dial in the sweet spot for a skis maximum performance. The X-ium Classic NIS C1 is the ultra-light, high-performance World Cup Series classic ski. A lower and shorter tip provides less swing weight and improved maneuverability. Sure Kick Concept makes for an easier kick by maximizing grip and kick surface while Control Edge technology supplies twist-resistant torsional rigidity. The C1 is a low camber version for more powdery conditions and takes a hard kickwax. The Nomex Honeycomb core is lightweight with excellent compression and strength. With the NIS (Nordic Integrated System) skiers are allowed easy assembly and can personalize the ski's on-snow behavior.
