The Evo Tour NIS is Rossignol's most versatile mid-length WAXLESS ski. It is also our number one selling touring ski. The shorter mid-length sizing makes all aspects of skiing easier - climbing, downhills, turning, and getting up after a spill. The Activ' Cap construction with and extended edge adds durability as well as the control of a metal edge ski. The wood air core keeps the ski light and bombproof. A soft flexing 60 mm tip guarantees stability and flotation for out of track skiing, yet it is amazingly fast in a set track. A traditional, ample sidecut makes this a smooth efficient turning ski, so with a little practice the skis will go where you want them to. The Positrack waxless base has great grip and a silky smooth glide with very little wax preparation. Rossignol rates this ski 50% in track, 50% off track.

Rossignol description:

The Evo Tour NIS Positrack is our most popular Evo series ski and offers recreational skiers an easy-to-use and stable platform to get out and enjoy winter touring on. The Evo Series uses smaller sizing to increase maneuverability and skier's ease-of-use. This results in easier uphills, safer downhills and increased predictability in the flats. The waxless Positrack base offers maximum grip and the best compromise between kick and glide. Built with a Wood Air Core, skiers are provided a lightweight but sturdy, durable platform. The NIS (Nordic Integrated System) plate offers easy assembly and allows the skier to personalize the on-snow behavior. The Evo Tour NIS Positrack is intended for 60% on-trail and 40% off-trail giving recreational skiers the ease-of-use, stability and instant comfort they need to get out and enjoy the winter landscape.
