The Xium Skating WCS dropped a cm in sizing and shed a little weight (100 grams) in so doing. It also has a new lower profile Carbon Tip, reducing the weight by 20-30 grams in the most significant place. The Tip and Tail Flex easily to float and glide freely over the bumps - no hinging effect, or as Rossi says 'snake like'. This new ski is rigid where it needs to be to resist twist thus making the ski run straight and providing power to the kick. The Honeycomb Structure along with the 3D Torsion Box keeps the ski strong, light and supple. The Honeycomb interior also helps the base to remain flat after repeated hot wax applications. Foam core skis distort more easily. The double base groove gives superior directional stability. All you Rossi fans are going to really love this ski. And if you are not a Rossi fan you too will love it! This ski comes with the innovative NIS binding plate that allows you to change the binding position to personalize the ski's on-snow behavior as well as giving more power transfer and stability. The X-ium Skating WCS 2 is an ultra-light, high-performance World Cup Series skate ski. The new carbon tip reduces weight by 20-30 grams. A lower and shorter tip provides less swing weight and improved maneuverability. For superior stability at pushoff, Rossignol's Racing Cobra sidecut widens at the tip, keeping the ski in the snow while Control Edge technology gives skiers twist-resistant torsional rigidity. The Double Groove Guide gives skiers effortless tracking and directional control as Catapult camber provides excellent rebound. The Nomex Honeycomb core is lightweight with excellent compression and strength. With the NIS (Nordic Integrated System) skiers are allowed easy assembly and can personalize the ski's on-snow behavior. The X-ium Skating WCS 2 has a more moderate flex and camber height than the WCS1 making it ideal for racers and technical skiers in all snow conditions.
